Architect and General Contractor with more than 25 years of experience in the design and construction fields. After graduating with a Master’s of Architecture from NCSU in 1992 Mario moved to Miami and has worked in the construction field ever since. Initially he developed his career as an Architect and working for some of the most prominent firms in Miami that exposed him to a broad range of projects from commercial, multi-family to single family homes.
In 2001 NuSpace Construction was born to better serve their clients offering a turn key design build approach, avoiding the typical finger pointing and excuses that could arise in a typical owner -designer-contractor scenario. Later the firm moved more consistently to Construction services and teaming up with various designers to provide Design Build services. By merging his design background and construction knowledge Mario was able to interact with many design teams safeguarding their design intent and turning projects into a reality as close as possible to the way they were conceived.
Mario believes in bringing together the owner, designers, and construction team is key for a smooth project delivery.

Bridging new and old, or simply giving a building a new life can be a daunting task, but we love this kind of challenge. When trying to interact with an existing structure preparation is key to avoid future surprises that then impact the cost of a project. We understand this process very well and can offer detailed pre-construction analysis, verify that the design intent is feasible given existing conditions, and through a financial analysis if it is worth proceeding with the project.
NuSpace can team with your preferred designer or provide you with one to facilitate the design and build process under one roof. Within a multidisciplinary design – build organization the architect, interior designer, and general contractor can be coordinated to offer a complete turnkey solution. Our approach avoids the typical finger pointing between owner, design team, and contractor that could arise in a typical construction process. Through this process potential problems are flushed out before the bid is issued, projects can be fast tracked, the whole process becomes seamless for the owner
Making a contractor part of the team early in the process is paramount for a project to succeed. Many times, field verification will bring issues that the design team might not be aware of, costing and material specification availability could impact the schedule and development of any project. We will work with the architect or Interior designer side by side to assure that their ideas can be turned into a project the way the owner expects it, and if changes are required these issues are brought to the surface early in the process avoiding unnecessary cost increases or delays.
